From Little Venice to Kensal Rise — A Legacy of Love, Food, and Family

Vicki’s first opened its doors in 1985 in Little Venice, London, founded by one woman with a passion for fresh, simple, nourishing food. At a time when healthy eating was still a novelty, Vicki carved out a space where flavour and wellbeing lived side by side — long before it was cool.

From the beginning, it was a family affair. Vicki poured her heart into the café, joined over the years by her children, who helped grow the business while keeping its soulful energy intact. Her menus were Mediterranean-inspired, packed with bold flavours, quality ingredients, and generous portions — all served with speed and warmth. The result? A loyal following of regulars who didn’t just eat there — they felt at home.

As the years passed, Vicki’s expanded across West London, eventually arriving in Kensal Rise. This vibrant neighbourhood, with its creative spirit and strong sense of community, was the perfect fit. The Kensal branch became a local favourite, keeping the original values alive while evolving with the times.

After Vicki’s passing, the café was entrusted to a close family friend — someone who had grown up with the brand, understood its soul, and was ready to carry it forward with care. Under their stewardship, the heart of Vicki’s remains the same: fast, fresh, honest food served with a smile.

Today, Vicki’s continues to thrive as a cherished part of the Kensal Rise community. It’s still about what it’s always been about — real food, real people, and a place that feels like home.
